Family ArtsParties

Family ArtsParties

For ages eight years to ancient in years... Inspired by a storytelling performance, create! Talk, write, eat pizza - engage in an evening of playful discovery with someone who is not your age! Our lives are charged with story:

unfurl thoughts, memories and imagination. Bring your favorite adults, the children of your choice, bring yourself.

Goal:
Give families an opportunity to exercise and enjoy creativity together using classic literary themes.

Objectives:

Using a storytelling performance as inspiration, participants use various learning styles to express personal response while exercising specific techniques in creative writing, as well as in one of the following arts disciplines: visual arts, dance, drama or music. Workshops operate in a festive, fun atmosphere to encourage gentle risk-taking.
